Purpose-Driven Entrepreneurial Activity
The Tulane Entrepreneurs' Association (TEA) is a student-run organization, committed to educating our members and connecting them with the local entrepreneurial network. TEA actively seeks to promote "purpose-driven" entrepreneurial activity at Tulane and within the local community. Our team of motivated members does so by organizing an extensive set of programs throughout the academic year, which includes the following: the Speaker Series, business plan workshops, social networking events, and our Annual Business Plan Competition. The Annual Business Plan Competition is open to all students with ideas for ventures that will effect positive change in communities throughout New Orleans and the world.
Inspiring Innovation
By inspiring innovation and teaching our members how to construct profitable business models, we strive to enhance regional economic growth and positively impact society as a whole. TEA attempts to achieve these goals by finding new and creative ways to add value not only to its members, but to all Tulane students' experiences.
MatchNOLA Program
MatchNOLA offers both students and entrepreneurs valuable insight and the hands-on opportunity to fulfill a professional need. In doing so, students are able to find the work experience they need while in school in order to further develop their business skills. We hope to increase Tulane students’ exposure to entrepreneurial ventures, as well as their involvement in the efforts to rebuild New Orleans. The overarching goal is to enhance the students’ academic experience by providing opportunities in which they can apply the skill set developed at Tulane.
